Centre Director
The Centre Director is responsible for the smooth-running of
all aspects of the centre, establishing procedures and solving
problems quickly and efficiently.
Director of Studies
The Director of Studies is responsible for the implementation
and administration of all aspects of the academic programme
including the management of the teaching team and their performance.

Activities Manager
The Activities Manager has overall responsibility for the smooth
running of the activities and excursions programme, assisted
by all staff including Activity Leaders, Teachers and Group

Welfare and Accommodation Manager (selected centres only)
The Welfare Manager is responsible for the welfare, safety and security of students.
As well as supervision duties there are administrative duties. They would deputise for the
Centre Director in their absence. Welfare Managers have overall responsibility for
leading the Welfare team.
Welfare and Social Organiser
Welfare and Social Organisers are responsible for the welfare, safety
and security of students in residential accommodation. This
is a supervisory position, as it involves acting as a team leader
for teachers and activity staff on evening/lights out duty and
working alongside the management team. Please read the job description

Senior Teacher
The Senior Teacher role is to provide support to the DOS and
the teaching department as well as teaching between 15 and 30 hours per week.
For example, assisting the Director of Studies in the testing,
time-tabling and academic welfare of students.
EFL Teacher
Teachers are responsible for the planning and teaching of effective EFL classes
and related administrative tasks. T15s teach 15 hours a week and lead activities
and excursions plus welfare duties, while T30s teach 30 hours a week and just lead

Tour Guide/Senior Activity Leader Bankside and Edinburgh only
Tour Guide/Senior Activity Leaders are responsible for researching and
organising walking tours in various locations. Other duties include leading and
supervising activities and excursions.
Senior Activity Leader
Senior Activity leaders are responsible for promoting, organising and
running all activities and events, both on and off campus, under
the guidance of the Activities Manager. They will deputise for the Activity
Manager on request, supervise other Activity Leaders and undertake administrative
tasks as necessary.

Transfer Coordinator Bankside, Uxbridge, York and Felsted only
Transfer Coordinators are responsible for arranging the transfers
of groups and individual students from and to the airport to their destination centres.
This is a supervisory role and involves organising coach/taxi
bookings, meeting groups personally and leading inductions on
arrival. You will also act as Welfare and Social Organiser. This position
will involve working unsocial hours, unsupervised.
