Teaching Materials
Many teachers want to know how many of their own books to bring. You can bring
as much, or as little as you are comfortable with. There will be
plenty of supplementary material and books available at the centre. However,
we encourage teachers to bring along their own resources, assuming they are
suitable for the age groups you may be teaching. There are also many online
resource pages for teachers.
Getting to the centre
Joining instructions will be posted on this website a few weeks prior to the start of the
summer programmes.
All staff members should be at the centre for the Induction Session by 10am on their first
contracted day. Please remember that this is NOT the same as your first teaching day. Attendance at the
Induction Session is a company requirement for all members of staff.
Please note that Stafford House Study Holidays does not pay expenses for people travelling to the centres. You will have to make your own way to the centre, leaving enough time to arrive promptly. For information on the budget airlines flying into the UK click here.
What to expect at Induction
There are 4 main areas that are covered in the Induction and it is vital that every staff member attends all of them.
All staff must understand the importance of the induction and that attendance is mandatory. Most of the sessions carry legal implications, which mean they must be completed fully, and it must be checked that all staff have understood what they have heard.
